Project
For my final project I will be creating a mock cosmetic site for Eco Cosmetics. Eco Cosmetics is an eco-conscious company which prides itself on the use of natural materials which are friendly to the environment and its products which are not tested on animals. Eco Cosmetics is also involved with a number of environmental and animal rights organizations.

Purpose
The website for Eco Cosmetics will have a number of purposes. First, the site will serve to present and spread the brand idenity of Eco Cosmetics. This identity will be established by the design of the site as well as the material presented; from the company's mission statement to its contributions to environmental and animal rights organizations. A second purpose of the site is to provide resources and information on how others can become involved in such organizations as well. Finally, the site will also serve as an online store in which consumers can buy Eco Cosmetics.

Objectives
The objectives for the Eco Cosmetics website are: (1) establish a brand identity; (2) provide useful and current information and resources on environmental and animal rights issues and; (3) allow consumers to buy Eco Cosmetics products.

Technology
The technology for this site will include user registration and profile creation, shopping cart and check out creation, and an email listserve. Since the target audience is young, educated women, it is expected that they will recognize the technology and be able to navigate and interact with the site with little or no problem.
